SAN ANTONIO SPURS FINISH 2014-15 NBA SEASON NO. 1 IN LOCAL TV RATINGSLeague-Leading 8.6 Nielsen Rating Combined for 74 Games Aired Locally on FOX Sports Southwest, KENS-TV and KMYS-TVSAN ANTONIO (April 17, 2015) - The San Antonio Spurs finished the 2014-15 NBA regular season with the league's highest average local TV ratings.  The Spurs had an 8.6/15 combined average rating/share for 74 games aired locally on FOX Sports Southwest, KENS-TV (KENS 5) and KMYS-TV (CW 35), per Nielsen Media Research.The Spurs ratings are up 7 percent overall from last season, when they finished second in the league in local TV ratings.  The Silver and Black have ranked No. 1 or 2 in the NBA in local TV broadcast ratings 13 out of the last 14 seasons.The 60 games on FSSW averaged a rating/share of 8.4/14, which led all NBA teams on Regional Sports Networks and reflects a 12 percent increase from last season.  The Spurs vs. Houston Rockets game on April 8 generated a 13.7 rating, the highest-rated FSSW broadcast of the season and the highest on FSSW since 2011.  "Spurs Live" pre and post-game shows also generated impressive numbers, averaging a 2.0 rating pre-game and 3.5 rating post-game.Twelve games on KENS-TV averaged a 10.2/19 rating/share and two games on KMYS-TV averaged a 5.3/11 rating/share.FSSW will broadcast Games 1-3 and 5-7, if necessary, of the first round of the NBA playoffs.
