AT&T Center To Increase Fan Security Measures
SAN ANTONIO, May 21, 2008 – The AT&T Center will host Games 3 and 4 of the Western Conference Finals and to ensure the safety of Spurs and Lakers fans, security measures will be increased for both home playoff games.
All AT&T Center patrons will be screened by wands.
Items such as knives (including pocket knives and leatherman tools), guns, aerosol cans or other potential weapons will not be permitted into the facility.
No backpacks, large bags, or sealed packages of any kind are permitted into the facility.
Only small handbags, purses or diaper bags will be allowed into the facility, but are subject to inspection prior to entering the facility.
Large cameras with detachable lenses will NOT be permitted.
Cell phones, pagers, cameras or other similar electronic devices are subject to testing and inspection prior to entering the facility
Patrons should arrive early. Doors will open for Spurs games 2 hours prior to game time.
Do not bring unnecessary bags, cameras, binoculars electronic devices or any prohibited items described above, to the facility.
Upon arrival to the screening area, remove all items from your pockets and have cell phones and pagers powered on for testing and inspection.
AT&T Center management reserves the right to deny facility access to any patron or employee who does not comply with the above security procedures.
Spurs fans should plan accordingly when attending both Sunday’s (May 25) and Tuesday’s (May 27) games, and be aware of the following security measures:
