Lunch On Us
On Wednesday, August 22, 2001, the Spurs celebrated one year of the SBC Center
construction with an appreciation lunch for workers.
The Spurs invited nearly 300 construction workers to a free lunch and a big thank-you
celebration. In the cooler comfort of one of the Coliseum's outbuildings, Peter
Holt, surrounded by Spurs staff and some of his SBC Center community partners,
"high fived" construction workers, and treated them to lunch. Workers were also
given other goodies in appreciation of all the hard work they've put in during
the past year.
