  • Spurs Mailbag: Danny Green - Jan. 30, 2012
Tim Weber Question: How easy of a transition was it when you first joined the Spurs? Who helped you the most? Danny Green: I think it was easier for me coming from Carolina and also Cleveland where they do a lot of the same systems. They do the same sets there, which helped me adjust to that, and the assistant coaches have done a great job of helping me transition with the other things, with the daily vitamin stuff, working with Chad and Chip every morning helping me adjust, and just my teammates pushing me as well. But like I said, coming from Carolina and playing under Mike Brown has helped me to adjust to the system and pick up the system faster than anybody normally would.

  • Tales From 10 Years With The Spurs
It was recently announced that ClearChannel will continue its on air relationship with the San Antonio Spurs and with Spurs Sports and Entertainment. This was good news for all parties involved. WOAI has been the radio home for the Spurs for all but one season since the Spurs entered the NBA in 1976-77. I have been honored to be the Spurs Radio voice on the WOAI Spurs Radio Network since the 2001-2002 season. Ever since I was a little kid in Philadelphia pulling for Wilt Chamberlain and the 76ers I have loved basketball, so the chance to work for class organizations like the Spurs and ClearChannel was too good to pass up. Now in my 11th season, I have had the good fortune of calling all games for three NBA championship teams. I was recently asked to reflect on some of my finest memories of the past decade, and maybe share a story or two.
