 | Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich
On the game - “It was a fine team performance. The guys pulled together well at both ends of the court. It was a fine performance against a good basketball team.”
On Kevin Willis - “Kevin, Kevin…he’s a scorer. He plays physical basketball and that’s what he did tonight. It was fun to have him out there.”
On Carmelo Anthony - Bruce has a tendency to wear people down. Carmelo took advantage (of the defense in the first half). In the second half we did a better job. Maybe he got tired, I don’t know. He’s a young guy playing a lot of games. He was fun to watch. He’s quite a talent.”
On the importance of the rebounding - “It was very important. It’s dangerous when a Coach gets too impressed with his team. They get comfortable. It was a different effort in the second half. It was really nice. I thought we did well scoring. I didn’t think we could score that many points if we were locked in a gym with nobody guarding us.” |

On the game - “Tonight was very rewarding. I still love playing the game and my body is still capable of playing the game. Whenever I get the opportunity I believe I can play well.”
On being ready to play - “Being ready is just part of being a professional and playing the game. You have to be prepared and focused. I don’t know when my number will be called, but I have to be ready. Tim going down was very unfortunate, but the guys responded and played well.” |

 | Manu Ginobili
On the game - “We know we needed to step up without Tim here. I expected everyone would do more than they were used to. You can’t replace him, but everyone stepped up well.”
On Tony's play - “Tony was very aggressive tonight. When he plays like that he is very tough to guard. He was very fast tonight and that helped him get some points.” |

On the game - “Pop asked us to be very aggressive with the ball and try to push the ball and try to run. We just tried to run with them and tried to get some easy buckets. Malik and Rasho did a good job.”
On Kevin Willis - “Everybody picked up their game, especially Kevin Willis. He played great tonight.” |

 | Nuggets Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik
On the game - “We gave absolutely no effort tonight. We were feeling sorry for ourselves, I guess, from the other night. There was no overconfidence; we were horrible. We gave up 68 points in the paint, which shows no defensive effort whatsoever. We gave up 21 second chance points, which again gives credence to the fact that we gave no defensive effort. We couldn’t contain the basketball; we couldn’t rebound. We were awful defensively, and we were very selfish and random offensively. Rebounding is effort; it’s a ‘want to’. We’ve battled that all year. Every game is so important to us. The effort has got to be there to contain the basketball, to be able to close out, make plays, box out and get rebounds. Defensive rebounding is going to win you basketball games. It has to be a constant. Our last three games we’ve given up 109 points, 112 points and 117 points. Where is it going to end? Our preparation is round the clock and it’s disappointing.” |

On the game - “I don’t think we took advantage of Duncan being out tonight. I think everybody knows that. We just didn’t take advantage of the opportunity. I think when you see that the key player is out you tend to relax or take it for granted. I think you might think the other team isn’t that good without their key player. The Spurs just out hustled us tonight. They got almost every offensive rebound. Losing five games is a lot to take in but the first game was tough to take. We just have to get back on track. We need to put this game behind us and get ready for tomorrow.” |

On the game - “I certainly would rather play the Spurs without Tim Duncan. Anytime that happens you have to respond. Malik Rose hasn’t been playing a lot and got the opportunity tonight and Kevin Willis. We just didn’t have the effort we needed. Even in L.A. and Memphis, our defense slipped a little bit. Losing for in a row, it’s definitely no time for relaxation. It’s time to get it on. We need to win in the worst way. I really thought we’d come with a better effort tonight.” |
