Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich:

On the game - "I think, win or lose I am pretty much like this. You’ll drive yourself crazy if you are any different. I wish we would have competed like this in game 3. We took too many things for granted, which is still a mystery to me, when you are playing a team that has won 3 championships. You cannot take anything for granted, but I was very pleased with the way we competed."

On Kobe and Shaq - “Obviously Kobe did a great job getting to the hole and getting some calls and making free throws. Shaq did a great job tonight on the line and made his free throws and we didn’t finish as well.”

Tim Duncan:

On emotion - "They came out with a lot energy. We knew they would. That’s what you play at home for. That’s what home court advantage is for, for that energy. They had a lot of reasons to come out and really be energized and I thought they used it well."

On the game – “Those guys they really switched it up. I thought they did a great job of. Everyone just tried to give me a different look and I think that is what they were going for. Mark played me really physical. Samaki did a pretty decent job. Slava was in there a little while. Shaq played me. They just game me different looks and it worked pretty well.”

On Game 5 - "I think we have played it pretty well, all except for the last game. Defensively I thought we were pretty solid. 45 free throws, there is not much you can do about that, when they get 20 more free throws than you. Other than that I thought we were pretty solid. I thought we did a great job rebounding the ball."

Stephen Jackson:

On the game - "It’s frustrating. That’s why it hurts even more. We worked so hard to win this game and we let it slip away and the end, but we just need to be ready and come back and play Tuesday."

Tony Parker:

On his turnover - "It was a bad decision, I was too much in a hurry try to get it in. We can’t be too down on ourselves. It’s even at two all and we’re playing back at home and it’s a must win in game five."

On the game - “I think they made a couple of shots in the third quarter, hit a couple of threes and they were able to get in the game. Brian Shaw hit a three and the end. They hit a lot of shots in the third quarter.”

On Game 5 - "All the guys on our team have a lot of experience. We just couldn’t hit the big shots and the end and make the plays to win the game. We need to get to the line more and that will give us a good chance to win the game. It’s going to be tough."
