Best Of : Round 2, Game 1
From inside the AT&T Center during the NBA Playoffs, spurs.com brings you the best of the Spurs postseason.
| Best Moment |
| The Spurs were down at halftime, but were able
to pull away with a lift from Tony Parker and Tim Duncan in the third
quarter. Midway through the period the two leading scorers played
a little two-man game, forcing the Suns to face guard Duncan. When
the Suns' double team popped out to Parker, Tony threw the ball over
the top for an easy dunk by Tim giving the Spurs and eight point cushion. |
| Best Bench
Performer |
| Robert Horry came up big for the Spurs again
continuing his strong play from the Denver series. Horry posted another
double figure night off the bench with 10 points and seven rebounds
in addition to two timely blocks to help the Spurs secure a Game 1
victory. |
| Best Sub-Plot |
| Despite the radically different approaches, the
Spurs and Suns stats were surprisingly similar when the dust settled
after Game 1. The point guards Steve Nash and Tony Parker each had
eight assists and scored over 30 (Nash: 31, Parker: 32). Both teams
combined for 18 assists in the game. The big difference? The Spurs
held a 14-8 advantage on the offensive glass. |
