Spurs Sports & Entertainment Hires Bobby Perez as Senior Vice President General Counsel and Corporate Relations

SAN ANTONIO - Spurs Sports & Entertainment announced today that Bobby Perez has been hired as senior vice president general counsel and corporate relations. In this new role, Perez will oversee SS&E’s local redevelopment efforts, government relations, legal affairs and risk management.

“We wanted to add dynamic new leadership that could direct our local governmental affairs and development efforts as well as handle day-to-day legal matters and risk management issues,” said Rick Pych, Spurs Sports & Entertainment President of Business Operations. “Bobby shares our vision for SS&E’s responsibility to the community and his diverse legal background and strong local ties make him a terrific fit for this new role.”

Prior to joining SS&E, Perez served as a Bexar County Prosecutor, a San Antonio City Council Member and spent almost 20 years at Shelton & Valadez P.C. handling complex litigation, government relations and public finance. Perez has also served on the San Antonio Bar Association’s Board of Directors, as the Region IV President of the Hispanic National Bar Association and as General Counsel for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Bobby and his wife, Julie, have three children: Christopher, Brianna and Nicholas.
