Spurs Partner with Sanofi US and the American Diabetes Association to Host Dribble to Stop Diabetes Night

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs, Sanofi US and the American Diabetes Association will join together on March 3 to host Dribble to Stop Diabetes Night when the Spurs take on the Detroit Pistons at 6:00 p.m. at the AT&T Center.

Dribble to Stop Diabetes is a national multimedia campaign developed by the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the NBA Development League, in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association and Sanofi US to encourage basketball fans to live an active, healthy lifestyle and raise awareness about type 2 diabetes prevention, management and the potentially serious health complications that can be associated with the disease.

The San Antonio Spurs join other teams and ambassadors from around the NBA for the third year of the collaborative Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign. Fans can learn more at the campaign website, www.dribbletostopdiabetes.com, where they will find diabetes resources and are encouraged to take the Diabetes Risk Test.

Spurs fans are encouraged to visit the Dribble to Stop Diabetes table located in section 111 of the Plaza Level concourse to sign up for a chance to win a trip to the 2013 NBA Finals. On-court promotions during the game will reinforce the Dribble to Stop Diabetes mission of educating fans on the risks of developing Type 2 diabetes. Additionally, attendees throughout Spurs Youth Basketball League camps and Silver Dancer clinics will learn what it means to live a healthy lifestyle and how they can reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes.

Tickets to the March 3 game, and all remaining home games, may be purchased at Spurs.com or by visiting the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or on weekend event days starting at noon.
