Spurs Announce 2012-2013 Broadcast Schedule

SAN ANTONIO -The San Antonio Spurs announced today the 2012-13 broadcast schedule, which features 76 games airing locally in high definition (HD) on FOX Sports Southwest, KENS-TV (CBS 5) and KMYS-TV (CW 35).

FOX Sports Southwest will air 62 games this season, while KENS-TV will broadcast 12 games and KMYS-TV will show two games. The familiar voices of Bill Land, Andrew Monaco and Sean Elliott will return to serve as the primary play-by-play announcers and analyst respectively.

All 62 FOX Sports Southwest broadcasts will include “Spurs Live” pre and post-game shows, featuring co-hosts Andrew Monaco and Ric Renner. FSSW will also continue to air “Spurs Insider” to provide basketball fans an in-depth, weekly look at Spurs basketball. Last season’s FOX Sports Southwest television ratings were the second-highest in the 25 year history of their Spurs broadcasts. FSSW began televising Spurs games in 1987.

KENS-TV will televise the Spurs season opener in New Orleans against the Hornets on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m., which will be followed by a 30-minute postgame special. Throughout the season, KENS-TV will host two additional postgame and eight pregame specials.

In addition, “Max Spurs” will launch during the season and can be seen weekends on KABB-TV (FOX 29).

Broadcast highlights include: Dec. 15 vs. the Celtics (KENS-TV), Dec. 17 at Oklahoma City (FSSW), Jan. 9 vs. the Lakers (KENS-TV) and March 31 at Miami (FSSW).

All Spurs games can also be heard on WOAI 1200-AM with Bill Schoening and KCOR 1350-AM with Paul Castro.

Season tickets, game plans and preseason tickets are on sale now at spurs.com or attcenter.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or on weekend event days starting at noon.
