Spurs Fall To Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 86-80 in the nightcap at the Cox Pavilion at the 2012 NBA Summer League on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Adam Morrison led all scorers with 23 points, 14 of which came in the third quarter. Morrison's effort was complimented by 18 from Eric Bledsoe.

The Clippers dominated the first half, only trailing once, when Cory Joseph connected on a layup with 3:44 to play in the first quarter. At the end of one, Los Angeles owned a 25-19 lead.

Los Angeles extended its lead to as many as 13 points in the third quarter on the back of a 10-3 run The team was up by as much as 19 points before settling for a 14-point lead at 69-53 heading into the fourth quarter when San Antonio outscored the Clippers 27-17 en route to the six-point victory.

Joseph's team-high 22 points led the way for San Antonio and was complimented by 11 apiece from Eric Dawson and Luke Zeller.

The Clippers return to NBA Summer League action Thursday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers at 5:30 p.m. ET, while the Spurs enjoy a day off before taking on the Miami Heat at 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, July 20
