Road Trip started off with a thrilling overtime finish in L.A. as
the Spurs grabbed a 96-94 win over the Lakers.
The Spurs came back from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit and
a last second block by Manu Ginobili on Kobe Bryant set the game
into overtime. The Spurs mounted another comeback in overtime and
Michael Finley drained a game-winning three pointer with a second
remaining.
San Antonio struggled from the field the entire game hitting 32
of their 95 attempts (33%) compared to 42% shooting by the Lakers.
The Spurs had a 53-44 rebounding advantage including a 16-5 edge
on offensive boards.
Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili both scored 21 points to lead the
Spurs. Tony Parker - who sprained his thumb in the first half -
scored 7 of his 19 points in overtime.
