Game Night with Big Kev

Hey Spurs Fans! This is your in-arena host Kevin “Big Kev” Brock and I am going to share with you the many, many things that it takes to keep the “Big Show” running!
I usually arrive at the AT&T Center at least two hours before game time, this allows everyone to relax and know that everyone is in place. Before every home game I meet with Chris Garcia, Director of Game Operations, it all starts with him and his great staff!
I owe all my success to this group of people; they make sure that I have all scripts that I need before each home game. We then have our pre-game production meeting. During this meeting we go over the entire aspect of the game from when I go on the floor, the balcony or even outside.
After the excitement of the starting lineups, I the get ready to get into “Big Kev” time!
In this time all I try to do is focus on the game at hand, make sure that any and all questions that I may have are answered. Then I put on the headband and let the fun begin!
I really don’t get to see too much of the games, believe it or not, I am busy running around to the next promotion or trying to remember the next contestants name!
There isn’t any rest for the weary and with all the activitiy I have lost 15 pounds just this season! Definitely not a job for someone that doesn’t want to hustle!
Lucky for me I wear a small hearing device that will allow Chris Garcia to speak to me and let me know where the next promotion will be. Look for it next time you see me at a game.
I get just as excited for the contestants as you the fans because I am a fan too! I want all of them to win but I also know that the games are harder than you think. I hear all the time, “I can catch a beach ball…”
I am sure that you can - but when you are looking at the roof and trying to find a basket to put the ball in, it can be a little difficult!
I guess that is why I like beach ball mania so much! BBBAAAAALLLLIIINNNNNN!!!
“How do you become a contestant?” Is probably the question second most asked and that answer is…..show up early!
No promises, but it will better your chances!
