How did it happen that you play with the number 9? Is it a special number for You?

TP: Nine has alwasy been my favorite number since I was young, that and Micheal Jordan wore it in the Olympics. I love number nine.

Question: How is the game different in Europe than here in the states?

TP: In the states the game is faster, guys are more athletic. Europe, it's more set plays and there is a little bit slower pace. It's a bit more team stuff and here it can be a little more one-on-one.

Question: What do you feel the Spurs need to work on most in order to do well in the shortened season?

TP: I think our young guys are going to have to play well. I think our bench is going to have to help us and be very good since we have so many games. If our young guys can improve and perform every night we will have a great chance to do well at the end of the season.

TP: It was a lot of pressure. It was one game to determine it all and who would win the championship. It was just a great series overall. It was just a great experience and I'm happy that we were able to win the championship for San Antonio.

Question: How do you like playing with the new guards - T.J., James Anderson and Cory Joseph? Do you miss playing with George Hill?

TP: I miss Georgie a lot. He was a great player for us, a great Spur, and a great person on and off the court. I like James, T.J. and Cory too, all our young guys. I think if they perform we'll go far this season.

TP: It's been a great experience to play with Manu and Tim. I feel like I'm very blessed, they are definitely the two best players I have played with my whole career. I just feel very blessed that we have been together for all those years, 10, 11, 15 years is very rare in the NBA with the same guys and the same coach. So the whole experience and winning three championships with them, I don't think I will ever experience anything like that.

TP: I think the West has always been tough. It's always hard in the West because there's always a lot of good teams. The Clippers will be a lot better with Chris Paul. I think Lamar is a great addition for Dallas and we'll see, I think every thing is open this year.

Question: Tony do you practice shooting everyday? What sort of workouts do you do? Can you please explain?

TP: I practice every day on my shot with Chip Engelland my shooting coach. It's been a pleasure to work with him and we do a lot of different workouts. I always try to get better on my shot.

TP: I love playing in the NBA, it's the best league in the world. It was fun to play in France for those two months, it was a great experience but the NBA is still the best league.

My favorite team to play against is Dallas because it's such a Texas rivalry, and the Lakers.
