The San Antonio Spurs and Silver Stars invite boys and girls (ages 8-18) to experience and learn for the Spurs/Stars winning attitude. This year, the San Antonio Spurs offer 7 camp sessions and the Silver Stars will offer 1 camp session. Get ready to be trained with the pros in fundamentals, strategies, and drills. No previous basketball experience is necessary. Sign up for the Spurs and/or Silver Stars Basketball Camp and receive the attention you need to really improve your skills. Returning for his 24th year as camp director is Nevil Shed, a former NBA player and member of the Texas Western National Championship team, who will have your camper work out with a top coach geared to their age level. Plus, you will see your camper improve dramatically in our daily skills contest.

HERE’S THE SCOOP ON CAMP HOOPS

All day campers must bring lunches (no refrigeration provided) and show up 30 minutes prior to each session. Camp supervision is provided 30 minutes prior to sessions and 30 minutes after sessions.

OVERNIGHT CAMP The Spurs are offering an overnight camp for boys (ages 10-18), June 21 – 26 at the University of the Incarnate Word. All campers will check-in Sunday of camp week and spend the week at the University of the Incarnate Word dormitories. Three healthy, well-balanced meals will be served daily in the campus’ dining hall. The Spurs will provide 24-hour-a-day staff supervision and medical attention.

SILVER STARS (Girls Only) CAMP SESSION All girls 8-18 are invited to spend a special weeks at the San Antonio Silver Stars Basketball Camp. All participants will receive focused instruction from some of the top women coaches from the San Antonio area. In addition, each participant will receive a Silver Stars’ ticket voucher with their registration. Also, an appearance from one of the Silver Stars’ players and/or coach will appear to speak and teach your daughter the expertise and experience necessary to be successful. This week will be an all-day session and held from July 20 - 24 at St. Mary’s Hall.

EXPERIENCED STAFF AND COACHES It includes San Antonio-area college and high school coaches. Current players and/or former players and coaches will visit the camp for special instruction. (Due to coaches’ relocations, professional trades, and scheduling conflicts, some substitution of camp staff and personnel may be necessary.) Spurs/Silver Stars players and/or coaches cannot be guaranteed because of this reason.

ELIGIBILITY Camp is for boys and girls 8 - 18, regardless of experience and ability. Overnight camp is for boys 10-18. Campers must be 8 years old by the first day of their camp session to be eligible. Each camper and his or her parents must know the scholastic eligibility rules for sports camps in their own area. Be sure to check with your child’s high school or junior high coach. ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED TO THE NUMBER OF CAMPERS THE SPURS/SILVER STARS CAN ADEQUATELY SERVE.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND REFUND POLICY Complete application and return aalong with your designated deposit fee. A $100 (Full-Day session) deposit must accompany each application to reserve your spot in the camp. There will be no refunds. NO EXCEPTIONS. If paying by check, your cancelled check will be your receipt. Please note that there will be a $30 charge for all bounced checks.

KIDS NEED TO BE FIT All campers must have a medical exam CONDUCTED IN THE UNITED STATES prior to entering camp. An official health certificate will be sent out to all campers after the Spurs/Silver Stars receive the initial deposit and enrollment forms. This certificate must be completed and on file before camp participation. CAMPER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT AN OFFICIAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE. The Spurs Basketball Camp issues Group Accident Insurance for all campers, which is included in the cost of the camp.
