It’s that time of year again…the TAKS test. The Spurs want to encourage all students to do their best on the tests. We have five quick easy tips that help us prepare and we want to share them with you! Download the attached messages and save to your computer to use as often as you like. Reaching an estimated 50 million children a year, Read to Achieve is the most
extensive educational outreach initiative in the history of professional sports.
Last season through reading incentive programs, children accumulated over 7
million minutes of reading.
In San Antonio, the Spurs implement Read to Achieve through our educational
programming, read aloud events with Spurs players and coaches and free book
donations. It is especially important for San Antonio to embrace literacy,
according to the recent findings from the “America’s Most Literate
Cities” study which ranked San Antonio 75th out of 79 cities across the
country. |
