Spurs forward Michael Finley recently spent time with Mr. Maldonado’s 3rd grade class at Indian Creek Elementary to reward the students for being the grand prize winners of the Reading Time-Out in the High Five Readers Challenge.

To sum it up, the students of Ms. Merrill’s 7th period class at Wrenn Middle School were selected as the grand prize winner of Manu’s Math Minutes contest.

Fabricio Oberto recently introduced the new McDonald’s 2007 Spurs Commemorative Championship cup with sales to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.

On Saturday, February 2, 2008 the San Antonio Spurs players and coaching staff along with more than 1,000 friends of the Spurs Foundation dressed comfortably in their formal attire – and tennies – for the 20th Annual Tux ’N Tennies Dinner and Auction.

In the true spirit of giving on Thanksgiving, Matt Bonner recently made a special visit to Leon Spring Elementary to congratulate 3rd grader -Hannah Friedrich for being the grand prize winner of the Spurs/Whataburger “What’cha Reading” contest.

San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen, H-E-Buddy and the entire student body from Woodridge Elementary recently walked around the outside track at the school as an introduction and warm-up for the school’s annual Turkey Trot.

The Campus Manu Ginobili 2007 basketball clinic took place August 4-7, 2007 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Manu shared with the attendees his basketball experience such as team playing, sharing, hard work, and commitment to his country.

San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen and H-E-Buddy recently got in the pool – without floaties – at Spectrum Athletic Club at Rogers Ranch to teach children from the Boys & Girls Club about the importance of water safety and fitness.

Once again, Spurs Sports & Entertainment Education Programs will award more than 235,000 free incentives to San Antonio area students.
