Share on FacebookELIGIBILITY: Promotion is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry and have Internet access and a valid e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Promotion Period. Entrants under 18 years of age must have consent of parent or legal guardian to enter Promotion. Employees, officers and directors of Reebok, Famous Footwear, NBA Properties Inc., the NBA and its member teams, NBA Media Ventures, LLC (collectively, the “NBA Entities”) and their respective parent and subsidiary companies, consultants, agents and suppliers, (collectively, “Promotion Entities”) as well as their respective immediate families and persons living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win. Reebok reserves the right to verify the eligibility of each potential winner.
PROMOTION PERIOD: The Promotion will begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on May 15, 2005 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on July 1, 2005 (the “Promotion Period”):
HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Promotion, visit the NBA website at www.nba.com or the Famous Footwear website at www.famousfootwear.com/nbals and follow the instructions provided for entry. Complete in full and transmit the entry form, which includes entrant's name, address, daytime phone number and e-mail address to enter for a chance to win. After submitting the required information on the entry form, each entrant will receive one entry into the Promotion. All entries become the exclusive property of the NBA Entities. Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged, nor will proof of submission of an entry form be deemed proof of receipt. Sponsors and Administrator have no obligation to advise an entrant of an incomplete or otherwise non-compliant entry. Sponsors and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
Entries must be received by no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on July 1, 2005 to be eligible. LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON FOR THIS PROMOTION.
WINNER SELECTION
Grand Prize - one (1) grand prize winner will be randomly selected on or about July 15, 2005 from among all eligible entries received. The potential grand prize winner (and grand prize winner’s parent or legal guardian if the prize winner is a minor) will be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release and Prize Acceptance Forms and IRS W-9 form. All forms must be fully completed and returned within seven (7) days following receipt of the forms by the potential winner, or the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternative winner selected. The grand prize winner’s travel guest (and travel guest’s parent or legal guardian, if the travel guest is a minor) must execute and return fully executed liability/publicity release forms prior to the issuance of travel documents. If grand prize winner is a minor, the guest accompanying the winner must be the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
Second Prize – Beginning on May 20, 2005, Administrator will randomly select on or about Friday of each week during the Promotion Period (final weekly drawing will be held on or about July 2nd) potential second prize winners from among all eligible entries received as of 11:59 p.m. ET on the immediately preceding Thursday, as more fully set forth below. Seven (7) second prize drawings will be conducted during the Promotion Period (each a “Weekly Drawing”) with a total number of forty-eight (48) potential second prize winners selected. The number of potential winners for each Weekly Drawing corresponds to the number of days in that week of the Promotion Period. The last Weekly Drawing will occur on or about July 2, 2005. Eligible entries received during a prior week will be eligible for the next Weekly Drawing.
May 20th Drawing - 5 potential winners (May 15 - 19)
May 27th Drawing - 7 potential winners (May 20 - 26)
June 3 Drawing - 7 potential winners (May 27-June 2)
June 10 Drawing - 7 potential winners ( June 3 - June 9)
June 17 Drawing - 7 potential winners (June 10 - 16)
June 24 Drawing - 7 potential winners (June 17-23)
July 2 Drawing - 8 potential winners (June 24 - July 1)
Third Prize - five hundred (500) third prize winners will be randomly selected on or about July 15, 2005 from among all eligible entries received.
Each potential winner will be contacted by e-mail or mail according to the contact information provided by that entrant. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected. LIMIT OF ONE (1) PRIZE PER ENTRANT. All prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received by the applicable drawing date.
PRIZES
GRAND PRIZE:
One Grand Prize - Trip for two (2) to the 2005 Ring Ceremony for the 2005 NBA Champions to be held in the home city of the 2005 NBA Champions or another location determined by the NBA Entities and one (1) replica NBA Championship Ring. Trip includes: roundtrip coach air transportation for two (2) from the airport nearest winner’s city of residence to the airport nearest the home city of the 2005 NBA Champions or alternate location; two (2) nights’ hotel accommodations (room and tax only, based on double occupancy) at a hotel to be determined by Sponsors, in their sole discretion; two (2) tickets to the opening home game of the 2005 NBA Champions; ground transportation to and from winner’s home and airport in the departure city and to and from airport and hotel in destination city; and ground transportation to and from the hotel to the NBA arena for the opening home game (ARV of Grand Prize: $5,000). Air transportation will not be included in a grand prize awarded to a winner residing in or near the home city of the 2005 NBA Champions. All taxes required to be paid upon acceptance of the grand prize and any expenses not specifically mentioned as part of the prize (including without limitation transportation to and from departure city, gratuities, incidental expenses, and meals) shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. Travel arrangements for the prize shall be determined by Sponsors and Administrator, in their discretion. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. Travel dates are to be determined and trip must be taken on dates and times designated by Sponsors and Administrator or prize will be forfeited. Travel restrictions may apply and frequent flyer miles may not be available. Once travel is booked, no changes or cancellations will be accepted. No extensions or exceptions shall apply or be available. All travel is subject to availability.
SECOND PRIZE:
Forty-eight (48) Second Prizes: Each second prize is one (1) pair of Reebok/NBA LS Shoes (ARV of each Second Prize: $65.00)
THIRD PRIZE:
Five Hundred (500) Third Prizes: Each third prize is one (1) Reebok/NBA Poster (ARV of each Third Prize: $10.00)
Except for the prize value, the winner will not receive any additional monetary compensation or acknowledgement for participation in any the Promotion. All taxes required to be paid upon acceptance of any prize and any expenses not specifically mentioned as part of the prize shall be the sole responsibility of the winner.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
Prizes are non-transferable, except as permitted by Sponsors and Administrator. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. No substitution or cash equivalent of any prize is permitted; however, Sponsors reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value. Winners are not entitled to the difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value of the any prize. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, errors in the printing or posting of the offer or official rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of the Promotion is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsors or their agents. Sponsors reserves the right to terminate, withdraw or amend the Promotion or disqualify any entry for any reason and without notice including, without limitation, if Sponsors suspect tampering has occurred, voiding the entries at issue or terminating the Promotion and selecting winners from among that portion of the Promotion that has not been compromised, if any. Promotion Entities will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. By entering this promotion, all entrants agree that this Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States, State of Massachusetts, without giving effect to its conflicts of laws rules.
The Promotion Entities, their affiliated companies and advertising and promotional agencies, and any telephone network or service providers are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any web site or online service, the hosting or operation of any website or online services, or any other error, human or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY ACCEPTING A PRIZE, EACH WINNER AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE PROMOTION ENTITIES AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT WINNER’S PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. THE PROMOTION ENTITIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF ANY OF THE PRIZES. EACH WINNER AGREES TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENT CONTAINING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
PROMOTION ENTITIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, DISTRIBUTORS, VENDORS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, SUPPLIERS AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE PROMOTION.
Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this Promotion or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts or the appropriate Massachusetts state court; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs, but in no event including attorneys' fees, disbursements or court costs; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket costs.
PUBLICITY
By submitting an entry form, each winner grants Promotion Entities and those acting under their authority permission to use his or her name, likeness, or comments for advertising and publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration or authorization, except where prohibited by law.
WHO WON
To find out the names of the winners, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope on or before July 31, 2005 to Reebok/NBA Sweepstakes, 1895 JW Foster Blvd, Canton, MA 02021. The winners’ list will be available after drawings have been conducted and all winners have been verified.
