SEATTLE - Seattle SuperSonics General Manager Rick Sund announced today that the Sonics have exercised the fourth-year team option on center
Robert Swift and the third-year team option on center
Johan Petro for the 2007-08 season.
“We’re very excited about the futures of both these young men,” said Sund. “Both Robert and Johan have shown improvement each season they have been with the team and they continue to use their individual talents to make their teammates better.”
Last season, Swift appeared in 47 games and averaged 6.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, while shooting 51.5 percent (124-241) from the field. Petro played in 68 games and averaged 5.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and shot 51.0 percent (153-300) from the floor.
