Sign Barnes, Dryden and Myers
Training Camp Roster Released
Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson will once again headline the 76ers training camp roster, when the Sixers open camp on Tuesday, Sept. 30 for players with three or less years experience.
Joining Iverson and the Sixers core-group of Derrick Coleman, Aaron McKie and Eric Snow are two-time All-Star Glenn Robinson and power forward Marc Jackson, acquired in a four-team deal on July 23, 2003. Additional off-season moves included the resigning of Kenny Thomas and inking of free agent Amal McCaskill. Draft day moves brought rookies Willie Green and Kyle Korver to Philadelphia.
Other returning veterans from last year’s squad include Greg Buckner, Sam Clancy, Samuel Dalembert, Todd MacCulloch, John Salmonsand Monty Williams.
Local collegiate standouts Lamont Barnes (Temple ’00) and Jeff Myers (Drexel ’97), and Robb Dryden (Georgia ’01) recently signed free agents contracts and round out the Sixers training camp roster.
