Sixers volunteer at Philabundance - 11/16/2011

To tip off the holiday season, the Philadelphia 76ers partnered with Philabundance to raise funds and collect food for neighbors in need.

Sixers Head Coach Doug Collins, his entire coaching staff, Sixers Dancers Annie and Davida, the Sixers front office and season ticket holders joined forces on Wednesday, November 16 to pack more than 560 food boxes, which will be taken to the elderly.

In addition to their on-site service, the team also presented a check for $1,000 - which alone will help to feed more than 2,000 Delaware Valley households - and donated approximately 350 nonperishable food items.

Sixers fans can continue to help fight hunger by donating to Philabundance through Thanksgiving, and can click here to learn more about Philabundance.
