  • 76ers President Billy King and mascot Hip-Hop made a surprise on-air appearance to give WPVI's Scott Palmer a personalized 76ers jersey in honor of his retirement. Joining Palmer (middle) are anchors Rick Williams and Monica Malpass.
    Sixers Camps participants go over skills and drills with 76ers Manager of Game Operations and former standout Penn State University player Kathy Drysdale. Located in the Pocono mountains, in Stroudsburg, Pa., Sixers Camps offers overnight and day camps for boys ages 9-17 and girls ages 11-17.
    Although Alex Scott (seated) passed away this past year, her Alex's Lemonade Stand to raise money for pediatric cancer research, is still going strong. 76ers President and General Manager Billy King will visit the stand to make a donation from Sixers Charities on Saturday in Wynnewood, Pa. at the Penn Wynne School.
    Liz and Jay Scott, and Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King, rang the opening bell to kick off trading at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, June 1. The event signals the start of national Lemonade Stand Days, June 10 through June 12. The Scotts are the parents of Alexandra Scott, the little girl who started Alex’s Lemonade Stand in order to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
    Hip-Hop looks for opportunites to cause trouble as Sixers staffer Katie Hammer reads to kids at the Christian Life Center in Bensalem, PA on May 25. Each child got to take home a 76ers bookmark and activity book as part of the 76ers Read to Achieve program.
    Desiree Caldwell, a teacher at Stockton Elementary School in Cherry Hill, N.J., assisted Hip Hop and Sixers staffer Katie Hammer in the Read to Achieve pledge on May 12, 2005. Each child got to take home a 76ers bookmark and activity book as part of the 76ers Read to Achieve program.
    World B. Free and Hip-Hop look on as Samuel Dalembert reads to kids at the new 76ers Reading Corner in the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center reading room. Every child also received a Samuel Dalembert lunchbox and two tickets to the April 29 playoff game vs. Detroit. The new area is one of more than 100 reading corners that will be created at schools and youth organizations around the country as part of a new National Reading Corner Program with the NBA, Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) and the Foot Locker, Inc.
    Andre Iguodala taped the final segement for a Spike TV special called "The Rookies." The six-episode run starts June 10 and will air every Monday. The show followed Iguodala and other NBA rookies throughout the season.

    The nieces and nephews of Pat Condon, Vice President of Internal Audit and Contract Compliance Global Spectrum, LP, got together to send in these "snapshots" wishing the Sixers well in the playoffs.
    Andre Iguodala takes a look at some of the 1,049 hats that were donated for Andre's Caps for Kids during the April 20 game vs. Atlanta. Iguodala signed autographs for fans who participated in an exclusive meet-and-greet after the game.
    Chris and Alex Larsen of Media, PA were among the big winners at Fan Appreciation Night on April 18 when the Sixers played Milwaukee. As part of the festivities, Sixers President/General Manager Billy King ushered the Larsens from their upper deck seats down to a pair of prime courtside seats for the game.
    Rod Iverson, of Paris, France, picked the right game for his yearly foray to Philadelphia. While no relation to Allen Iverson, Rod's favorite player is the Sixers star, so he spends money earned from a summer job to fly from Paris to Philadelphia once a season to see the Sixers. This year's game was the 126-119 overtime win over Miami on April 14.
    We're not going to take it! Former Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider took in a recent Sixers game. Snider now hosts a 7pm to midnight radio show on 93.3 WMMR.
    Marc Jackson assisted traffic reporter Bob Kelly on April 7, 2005, during his stint on the KYW TV-3 morning show. A dapper-looking Jackson also did an interview with anchor Ukee Washington.
    Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (left) cheers on Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and his wife, Midge, as they perform the National Anthem before the Sixers-Celtics game on April 3 at the Fleet Center. The singing was part of a Super Bowl bet that Rendell was paying off after the Pats topped the Eagles.
    Andre Iguodala looks as if he is getting ready to take a running start at the basket as he tries to catch his balance against Dallas on April 1.
    There is no telling who you might see at a Sixers game. Lead singer of Twister Sister, Dee Snider was on hand to watch the Sixers take of the Toronto Raptors on March 25. Snider is also a 93.3 WMMR host from 7pm until Midnight.
    There was no holding down Samuel Dalembert or the Sixers on March 25 versus Toronto. Dalembert predicted the victory before the game, and Allen Iverson delivered with a game-winning basket, 103-101.
    David Danlerio made sure his daughter, Olivia, was all decked out in her Sixers gear before the Sixers big win over Detroit on March 23.
    As part of the 76ers Reading Month, WIP's Rhea Hughes was the guest reader on March 19 at the 76ers Reading Corner. For each home game in March, The Reading Corner has a designated guest reader who shares a great children's story.
    WNBA star and Temple University Women's Basketball Head Coach Dawn Staley took in the Sixers-Bobcats game on March 11. Staley's Atlantic 10 Champion Owls play on Sunday at noon against Louisiana Tech in Storrs, Conn., in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
    Willie Green surprised kids at their school bus stop in Narberth, Pa., along with Sixers mascot Hip-Hop, and handed out 76ers Drawstring Backpacks, courtesy of Gatorade. The first 5,000 kids, 12 and under, at the Bulls game on Saturday, March 19 will get the same backpacks as part of Willie’s Back to School Night. All fans who bring new, hardcover children's books to the game will be able to attend a special meet-and-greet with Green afterwards.
    Kyle Korver and Allen Iverson check out the Guinness World Records book before handing it out to children who were selected to participate in a pregame book swap in honor of the 76ers Reading Month.
    Actor Matthew McConaughey, in town to promote his new movie, Sahrah, took in the 76ers-Nets game on March 2. McConaughey was presented with his very own No. 1 Sixers jersey which he proudly donned for the remained of the game.
    The Sixers kicked off their Read to Achieve program at their Reading Corner on March 2 by celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with the help of The Cat in the Hat and Sixers dancer Dana Smith.
    2002 Olympic Champion Sarah Hughes (right), being interviewed by Sixers In-Arena Host Kathy Romano, took in the Sixers Knicks game on Feb. 14. Hughes was in town to promote the Smucker’s Stars on Ice show that took place at the Wachovia Center on Feb. 25.
    76ers Director of Statistical Information Harvey Pollack has soared past the 600 mark for his T-shirt-A-Day Record. The streak began on June 29, 2003 and is well into it's second year. The 600 mark was reached on Feb. 17.
    Samuel Dalembert played a serious game of BINGO with residents of the Simpson House on Feb. 15. Josh Davis and Kevin Ollie also took a turn, but alas all the Sixers players met their match and came up empty in the win column. Ambassador of 76ers Basketball World B. Free was at his best calling the numbers.
    Game show host Chuck Woolery was on hand Feb. 14 to host two Valentine's Day events at the Sixers-Knicks game. Four area media celebrities and their spouses took part in "Sixers Just Married" before the game, and three contestants competed for a chance to go on a date with Sixers PA announcer Matt Cord in "Sixers Match-Up" at halftime.
    Kevin Ollie vists with students from the Don Guanella School in Springfield, PA on Feb. 8. Ollie and Ambassador of 76ers Basketball World B. Free put on a Basketball 101 clinic at the school, demonstrating basketball fundamentals and talking about how to not only be successful in the game, but also in school and in life.
    No, Allen Iverson did not change uniform numbers. The Sixers guard flexed in a Kyle Korver replica jersey that had been given out to the first 5,000 children 12 and under on Feb. 4. The entire night focused on Korver, including his "Kyle's Coat Drive," that resulted in 1,446 new winter coats.
    Magee Sixers Spokesman Valdez Bradley will play in the NWBA All-Star Game in Denver as part of All-Star Weekend. The Spokemen are a competitive wheelchair team wearing official 76ers game jerseys by Reebok. The team held their annual halftime exhibition game on Monday, Jan. 31.
    Kyle Korver is drawing the spot light this week. He hit the game-winning shot versus Indiana on Monday, and then this Friday all fans who donate a new coat to support Kyle's Coat Drive will be able to meet Korver at an exclusive postgame meet-and-greet session. Comcast SportsNet’s Dei Lynam who also serves as the 76ers sideline reporter, is assisting Korver in getting the word out. Plus, the first 5,000 kids 12 and under will receive a Kyle Korver jersey at the game.
    76ers President and General Manager Billy King presents American Red Cross Chief Executive Officer Tom Foley and Chief Advancement Officer Kate Judge with a check for $120,600. The amount represents money raised through contributions from 76ers players, coaches, front office staff and fans to aid those affected by the earthquake and Tsunami emergency in Southeastern Asia and East Africa and the donation will help provide supplies, food and safe water, health care and other support to those in need.

    Ambassador of 76ers Basketball World B. Free runs some drills at a Sixers Basketball 101 clinic at the Central YMCA in Wilmington on Jan. 21. 30 participants in the YMCA's winter basketball program came out to meet Free and learn about the game.
    Illustrator Elbrite Brown, winner of the 2004 Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award for best Illustrated African American book was on hand at the 76ers game on Jan. 17. Brown was part of The Annual African American Children’s Book Fair, sponsored by The African American Children’s Book Project and The Literary. The book fair seeks to help young children understand the long-term benefits of establishing good reading habits.
    NBA Hall of Famer & Sixers Statistician Harvey Pollack & members of the Sixers Dance Team joined Dei Lynam for the Sixers/CSN Watchin' Wednesday Party on Jan.13 at Chickie's and Pete's. Sixers tickets were given away, plus raffles and trivia made for a fun, festive evening. The next Watchin' Wednesdays party is Jan. 19 at Chickie's and Pete's, where you can watch the Sixers take on Charlotte at 7pm!
    76ers mascot Hip-Hop made an appearance with Sue Serio on Fox 29's Good Day Philadelphia morning program to promote the American Red Cross' fund raising efforts at Monday, Jan. 10 and Friday, jan. 14 Sixers games to help provide assistance for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami along the Indian Ocean.
    Comcast SportsNet's Michael Barkann (left) and Fred Carter broadcast live from a Sixers Watchin' Wednesdays party at Chickie's and Pete's on Jan. 6. The Sixers will hold Watchin' Wednesdays events throughout January.
    Jill (left), a five-year Sixers Dancers veteran, was invited by host Freddie Mitchell (right) to appear on his radio show on Dec. 28 to talk Sixers basketball. Mitchell was joined by his Philadelphia Eagles teammate Jon Runyan.
    There was no world record attempt this year, but Sixers fans came decked out in the holiday spirit anyhow at the last home game of 2004 on Dec. 20.
    Lewis Ostrander, a former Sixers employee, collected 125 toys from his current place of employment, Main Line Health Information Services to donate to Kenny Thomas' Toy Drive. The Toy drive, which benefits the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is part of the 76ers Drive For Kids Program. Monday, Dec. 20, marks the final home game in December for fans to make a toy donation.

    Allen Iverson vists with Bill Cosby and Kenan Thompson before the Dec. 12 game against Milwaukee. The entire cast of Fat Albert: The Movie was on hand to celebrate the world premiere of the film, which took place later that night at Temple's Liacouras Center. The movie is based on Cosby's legendary cartoon series, and Thompson plays the part of Fat Albert.
    Bill Cosby shows off the Fat Albert bobblehead doll that will be given away Sunday when the Sixers host Milwaukee. Cosby and the entire cast of "Fat Albert: The Movie", which is based on Cosby's legendary cartoon program, will be on hand for the game this Sunday.
    Hip-Hop takes the Read To Achieve Pledge with Fay Manicke, the principal of Walt Disney Elementary School in Levittown, on Dec. 6. The 76ers Read To Achieve program will be visiting schools throughout the Delaware Valley all season long.
    You never know who you are going to see at a 76ers game ... actor Leon took in the Wizards game on November 26. Leon can be seen in such movies as Buffalo Soldiers (2003), Waiting to Exhale (1995) and Cool Runnings (1993).
    Long-time 76ers season ticket holder Bob Poppiti shows off the license plate he has used since 1978. The Delaware resident has been coming to Sixers games since 1974.

    Sixers forward Kenny Thomas reads off the teleprompter as he tapes the Top Five Albums of the Week for E! News Live. The show airs on the E! Network from 7 to 7:30 ET on Friday, Nov. 19. E! News Live is the most comprehensive, up-to-the-minute report on teh day's top entertainment news.
    Allen Iverson waits to do a live-to-tape talk back with host John McEnroe of the CNBC show "TV Talk Show Host!". The show by the tennis legend, best selling author and outspoken TV commentator will air Tuesday night, Nov. 16, at 10 p.m. and will re-air at 1:00 a.m. ET.
    In town to film a movie, actor Tyrese took in the Sixers thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory over Indiana on Nov. 12. Tyrese, a former Tommy Hilfiger model, can be seen in "2 Fast 2 Furious", "Flight of the Phoenix" and numerous TV appearances.
    Former 76ers great and current Head Coach of the Pennsylvania Valley Dawgs, Darryl Dawkins, stopped by practice recently to conduct interviews for a local TV outlet. Dawkins, aka Chocolate Thunder, played 14 seasons in the NBA, including seven with the Sixers.
    Even if he is holding the camera, the focus is always on Andre Iguodala. The Rookie tried to turn the attention on the CN8 camera crew following him around on Fan Appeciaiton Day on Monday, Nov. 1.
    Marc Jackson, his brother Basil, Todd MacCulloch and Kyle Korver took in Nightmares on Broad Street on Oct. 29. The Wachovia Center was transformed into the extreme scream park for October.
    Former New Kids on the Block star Donnie Wahlberg took in the Sixers preseason game versus the Utah Jazz on Oct. 26, 2004.
    Hip-Hop painted pumpkins with children at his annual Pumpkin Painting Party at the Children's Seashore House on Thursday, October 21, 2004. He will spend the next week assisting children paint over 250 pumpkins at five other Philadelphia-area hospitals, giving the children a Halloween they will never forget.
    In recognition of his outstanding international and NBA career, Canadian Senior National Team Head Coach Jay Triano, National Development Coach Greg Francis and Executive Director and CEO Fred Nycamp presented Todd MacCulloch with a framed Team Canada jersey prior to the opening tip-off of the Sixers-Raptors game on Oct. 15.
    76ers mascot, Hip-Hop, participated in the Walk Your Child To School Day event at Catharine Elementary School in West Philadelphia. The event promoted pedestrian safety amongst students.
    Samuel Dalembert surprised students at the French International School of Philadelphia with a Baskin Robbins ice cream party on Sept. 28. Dalembert reported that his family in Haiti, including his grandmother, were fine despite the devastation caused on the island by Hurricane Jeanne.
    Marc Jackson helps a youngster cut the ribbon on a new backboard at East Poplar Playground on Sept. 21. The backboard was at one of 11 sites that has been revitalized as part of the 76ers Playground Rebound Program.
    As part of the 76ers Read to Achieve initiative, 76ers center Todd MacCulloch read to students at Westtown-Thornbury Elementary School in West Chester, Pa., along with 76ers mascot Hip-Hop.
    76ers guard John Salmons hosted a basketball clinic for 300 children at his alma mater, Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, on Saturday, Sept. 11.
    Billy King joined Phila. School District CEO Paul Vallas and the Power 99 Dream Team for the Tools for Schools program on Friday. King and Hip-Hop donated 500 pencil cases.

    76ers Assistant Coach Frank Vogel entertained children at the Wildwood Crest Summer Hoops Tour stop by spinning a basketball on a toothbrush and then brushing his teeth with the still spinning ball on the toothbrush.
    Sixers center Samuel Dalembert, who was named to the Basketball without Borders Europe 2004 coaching staff, signed autographs at the African-American Museum in Philadelphia during their Haitian Celebration on July 11.
    The Allen Iverson Squad topped the WPGC All-Stars, 17-16 in the U.S. Coast Guard Allen Iverson Celebrity Softball Classic at Prince George’s Stadium on Saturday.
    The 76ers Summer Hoops Tour officially got under way on June 28. The 41-stop tour, featuring free basketball clinics, will swing through the Delaware Valley until August.
