MARC ZUMOFF HONORED WITH 10th EMMY

Comcast Sportsnet Awarded 59 Emmys Since Launch In 1997

Philadelphia 76ers Television Play-by-Play Announcer Marc Zumoff was recently honored with a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award at a gala hosted by the National Television Academy on Saturday, Sept. 15. Entering his 14th season as the Sixers play-by-play announcer, Zumoff has been honored with the regional Emmy award 10 times. The award recognizes excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

"It's always a great feeling to be recognized by your peers,” Zumoff said. “I accepted the award in honor of my late father and mother who, in various ways, were a true inspiration."

This season, Zumoff will return for his 14th season with the 76ers as fans across the Philadelphia region can catch all 82 regular season games with 72 airing on Comcast SportsNet, five airing on CN8, The Comcast Network, and five airing on The CW-Philly 57 (WPSG TV).

Two of Zumoff’s counterparts at Comcast SportsNet were also recognized with Mid-Atlantic Emmy’s: Lance Crawford - Reporter - Sports Brad Nau - Sports - Program Feature or Segment
