The Philadelphia 76ers cruised to an 88-77 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Rocky Mountain Revue on Monday, July 16, in Salt Lake City. Sixers guard Louis Williams scored a game-high 31 points (10-16 FG, 11-16 FT) and added six rebounds to pace the 76ers.
Philadelphia jumped out to a 53-32 lead at halftime as the Sixers shot 59.4 percent (19-32 FG). Williams factored in with 22 points in the first 20 minutes. Defensively, the 76ers held Chicago to 39.4 percent shooting (13-33 FG) in the first half and forced 10 turnovers.
For the game, Philadelphia shot 45.5 percent (30-66 FG). Three other Sixers players finished with double-figure points: Bobby Jones (15), Louis Amundson (14) and Jason Smith (11).
Chicago was led by Thomas Gardner (18 points).
The Sixers improved to 3-0 at the Rocky Mountain Revue and will return to action on Tuesday, July 17, against San Antonio at 6:30 p.m. (EDT).
