In the deal, Sixers George Lynch, Jerome Moiso, and Robert Traylor are sent to Charlotte, while Cedric Henderson and a 76ers conditional first-round draft pick in 2005 are acquired by Golden State. Additionally, Charlotte receives Warriors forward Chris Porter, while Golden State receives cash.

Coleman, an 11-year NBA veteran, will begin his second stint as a Sixer, playing in Philadelphia from 1995-98 after a five-year stay with the New Jersey Nets (1990-95). He has been in Charlotte the past three seasons (1998-01). The 6-foot-10, 270-pound power forward boasts career averages of 17.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. In his final two seasons in Philadelphia, he averaged 17.9 points and 10.0 rebounds.

The native of Detroit has participated on five playoff squads during his career, averaging 19.5 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists. The four-year starter and consensus All-American at Syracuse University (1986-90) was the first overall selection of the 1990 NBA Draft by the Nets.

"D.C. fills a need for us at the power forward spot," King said. "His rebounding and low post presence were something we needed as we evaluated our team over the preseason."

Blount, an eight-year NBA veteran, has played for five different teams, including Chicago (1993-95), L.A. Lakers (1995-98), Cleveland (1999), Phoenix (1999-01), and Golden State (2001). The 6-foot-10, 242-pounder has posted career averages of 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game. Last season, he registered career-highs in points (4.6), rebounds (5.9), and minutes (19.2) in 68 games played for the Warriors. The Bulls drafted him with the 25th overall selection in the first round in 1993. In this year's preseason, Blount has played in four games, averaging 3.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game.

Cummings averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 assists in his two seasons with Golden State. Drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the first round (26th pick) of the 1999 NBA Draft, he was then traded to Golden State for forward Jeff Foster. The four-year standout at the University of Pittsburgh boasted career averages of 15.3 points, 4.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard played in four games during the 2001 preseason, averaging 2.3 points and 0.5 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game.

"With Eric (Snow) going down with the broken thumb, Vonteego really fills a need for us at point guard right now," King said. "Corie is a big guy who does all the little things we are looking for in a power forward, he rebounds and plays defense. "

Lynch, a 6-foot-8 228-pounder, spent three seasons in Philadelphia (1998-01), averaging 8.8 points and 7.3 rebounds. He has registered career averages of 7.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in eight NBA seasons (L.A. Lakers, 1993-96; Vancouver Grizzlies, 1996-98). Out this preseason due to injury, Lynch played in all 82 regular-season games in 2000-01 but was lost for 13 games during the Sixers run to the NBA Finals with a fracture of the left fifth metatarsal.

A member of the University of North Carolina's 1993 national championship team, Lynch was a first-round selection (12th overall) by the Los Angeles Lakers that year.

Along with Matt Harpring and Robert Traylor, Henderson was traded to the 76ers from Cleveland on Aug. 3, 2001 for Tyrone Hill and Jumaine Jones. The 6-foot-7, 225-pounder has played in all six preseason games, starting three, and has averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per contest. Prior to joining the Sixers, Henderson spent four seasons in Cleveland, averaging 7.5 points and 3.0 rebounds. His best season came as a rookie in 1997-98, when he posted a career-best 10.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 30.9 minutes per contest.

Traylor, a 6-foot-8 289-pound forward, played in all seven preseason games, starting twice. He averaged 7.7 points and was third on the team with 4.9 rebounds per game. Before being acquired in the Aug. 3, 2001 trade with Cleveland, Traylor played 70 games for the Cavs in 2000-01, averaging 5.7 points in 17.3 min.

Originally drafted by Dallas in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft (sixth overall), his rights were later traded to Milwaukee. After two seasons with the Bucks, he was traded to Cleveland in a three-way trade on June 27, 2000. In 163 NBA games, the Detroit native has averaged 5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.0 min. He had his best season as a professional in 2000-01, recording highs in almost every category.

Moiso was acquired from Boston on Aug. 3, 2001 for Roshown McLeod and a conditional first-round draft choice. A 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward, he saw action in five of the Sixers preseason games, averaging 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in 52 total minutes. Moiso was originally selected as Boston's first-round draft choice (11th overall) in the 2000 NBA Draft.

The Paris, France native, played 24 games for the Celtics in 2000-01, totaling 124 minutes. He averaged 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. Moiso played two seasons at UCLA in 1998-99 and 1999-2000, averaging 12.0 points in 62 games, while helping the Bruins to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 in 2000.
