to the NBA’s All-Defensive Second Team on May 8. Snow, who played in all 82 games in 2002-03, was third on the team with 1.62 steals per game and ranked 19th in the NBA. The six-foot-four, Canton, Ohio, native has always drawn some of the Sixers toughest defensive assignments.

Unlike the All-NBA team which is voted on by a panel of writers and broadcasters, the All-Defensive team voters consists of the NBA’s 29 head coaches, who were asked to select NBA All-Defensive First and Second Teams by position. Coaches were not permitted to vote for players from their own team. Points were awarded on a 2-1 basis.

Snow got 16 votes, including three first team votes. Snow enjoyed one of his finest seasons as a professional this year, averaging a career-best 12.9 points and 3.7 rebounds with 6.6 assists per game.

Allen Iverson, the NBA steals leader (2.74) for the third-straight season, did not finish among the top 10 and gathered 10 votes, including three first team votes.
