Sixers to offer free kids ticket on Halloween night to see the Sixers and Knicks at Wachovia Center
Philadelphia, Pa. – October 22, 2008 – The Philadelphia 76ers are celebrating Halloween with a scary offer. In the spirit of Trick or Treating, the Sixers are offering a free ticket to all kids 12 and under with a paying accompanying adult to their game on Friday, October 31, against the New York Knicks at the Wachovia Center at 7 p.m.
“We know it’s Halloween, but the sun sets early, so there will be plenty of time for the kids to do their neighborhood trick or treating, and then come to down to the Wachovia Center for some great 76ers basketball,” said Lara Price, Sixers Senior Vice President of Operations.
The free ticket offer is valid at the Wachovia Center box office only on the night of the game (October 31). Adults who purchase a ticket that night at the box office will be able to bring one child under the age of 12 with them to the game for free.
The Sixers open the 2008-09 season on Wednesday, October 29 at 7 p.m., when they host the Toronto Raptors at the Wachovia Center. Opening week continues with the Halloween game against the Knicks on Friday, October 31.
Tickets to all 40 of the 41 home games are on sale now exclusively through ComcastTIX at sixers.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200. The lone game not yet on sale is the Sixers return to their former home, the Wachovia Spectrum, on Friday, March 13, when they host the Chicago Bulls in a night to “Celebrate the Memories” at the Spectrum. Fans can guarantee a ticket to the “Remember the Spectrum” game by ordering a game plan or season tickets. Individual tickets to the “Remember the Spectrum” game are expected to go on sale in December.
