BEACH BASH TO FEATURE FIRST PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF 2012-13 SIXERS DREAM TEAM,

NEW RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – JULY 9, 2012 – The Philadelphia 76ers will host their 13th annual Beach Bash, presented by Kia Motors America (KMA), Proud Partner of the Philadelphia 76ers, on Saturday, July 21 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Jack’s Place in Avalon, N.J. (3601 Ocean Drive, Avalon, N.J. 08202).

A donation will be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, which serves more than 13,000 children and teens at 12 club locations in Greater Philadelphia. Several of the children who take part in Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia activities also will attend Sixers Beach Bash.

“Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia is excited to be participating in this year’s 13th annual Beach Bash as a partner of the Philadelphia 76ers,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia Chief Development Officer Al Mollica. “Our members have had many memorable experiences involving 76ers players and team officials visiting our clubs over the years. We look forward to another wonderful experience at the Beach Bash on July 21.”

At Beach Bash, fans can take part in a raffle to win a suite for 18 people at a 2012-13 Sixers game, along with an in-game visit from the Sixers Dream Team and Sixers Flight Squad; a tour of the Wells Fargo Center led by 76ers Ambassador of Basketball World B. Free; autographed merchandise; a customized jersey for the winner, and more. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket, and $20 for five tickets.

Headlining Beach Bash is the first public performance of the 2012-13 Sixers Dream Team on the outdoor stage. The team will be chosen at the final auditions, which take place at Chickie’s & Pete’s South Philadelphia on Thursday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. in an event open to the public.

For the first time, family attractions at Beach Bash will include a Ferris wheel and carousel, as well as several returning bounce rides and competitive carnival games with Sixers-themed prizes. Children can enjoy unlimited access to these games and rides by purchasing the $10 All-Day Kids Package on-site, which includes a Sixers water bottle and bag.

Beach Bash also will feature a 21-and-over bar area inside Jack’s Place for fans with an admission fee of $10.
