Sixers and KIA Motors to Unveil Book Nook at Willow Hill Elementary

STUDENTS EACH READ 760 PAGES AS A PART OF SIXERS BOOK BREAK CHALLENGE,

ALSO PRESENTED BY KIA MOTORS

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – MARCH 21, 2013 – The Philadelphia 76ers and Kia Motors America (KMA) will reward the 3rd graders of Willow Hill Elementary School for reading 760 pages each by unveiling a brand new Book Nook at their school (1700 Coolidge Ave., Willow Grove, PA 19090) this Friday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. The Sixers refurbished an existing room at the school to create the Book Nook, which will feature Sixers and Kia co-branded graphics, player posters and red, white and blue furniture.

The 3rd grade students at Willow Hill Elementary participated in the Sixers Book Break Challenge, presented by Kia, along with 24 other elementary schools in the Philadelphia region. Willow Hill Elementary was chosen to receive the Book Nook based on an essay they submitted as a part of the program, describing how the room would help promote and develop a love for reading in their students.

Following the Book Nook unveiling, World B. Free, members of the Sixers Dream Team and Sixers Flight Squad will host a Book Break Assembly for the entire school from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., which will include a reading of a children’s book and performances by the Sixers Flight Squad.

Kia Motors America is the Proud Partner of the Philadelphia 76ers.
