76ers thank Philly’s finest following with "priceless" Fan Appreciation Night

Philadelphia, Pa. – April 4, 2009 – Ever wonder what it would be like sitting on the 76ers bench, decked out in an official warm-up, next to the likes of Andre Iguodala prior to the game? How about taking to the court with Hip-Hop and the Hare Raisers to get the crowd fired up? Or maybe you’ve had visions of a career in Ed Stefanski’s front office, where you’d watch the games and analyze the action from a suite alongside the Sixers President and General Manager himself? Well guess what? Priceless prizes like these and many more just like them, along with some show-stopping surprises, are cued up for this season’s Fan Appreciation Night, to be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 8:00 pm at the Wachovia Center.

Oh, and did we mention the Sixers will be doing battle with long time rival and the defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics? Well that’s the deal!

"This special night gives us a chance to focus on the fans, thanking them through unique rewards that you simply cannot put a price tag on,” said Senior Vice President of Business Operations Lara Price. “On Fan Appreciation Night, we intend to give back to our fan base, which we consider the NBA’s best."

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and attend the Block Party beginning at 5:00 p.m. outside of the AT&T Pavilion. Other special prizes and experiences the Sixers will be sharing with fans include a meet and greet with the Sixers Dancers, highlighted by a photo taken with the entire team, taking home a piece of the historic Spectrum court, checking out a postgame press conference or sitting alongside Sixers radio play-by-play commentator Tom McGinnis for game, along with many more.

Another special highlight scheduled for Fan Appreciation Night is the inaugural Sixers Players Favorite Things Basket Auction. These items come with a personal touch from each player and member of the coaching staff. Get to know the team and staff by bidding on a basket full of their favorite things! Which player loves a good steak? Who listens to jazz? The answers lie within these baskets!

For their continued support, everyone will walk out of the game a winner. Each fan will receive a free 8x10 team photo, provided by Pepsi, and there will be significant discounts on food and Sixers gear -- $1 menu and 76% off all items at Fan Gear, all evening long.
