Media Day Scheduled for Sept. 30; Training Camp Begins Oct. 1
PHILADELPHIA, PA - Sept. 9, 2002 - The Philadelphia 76ers will tip-off their 40th season of basketball in Philadelphia when they host their annual media day on Monday, Sept. 30. Following media day, the team will depart for training camp, which will be held Oct. 1-7 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University. The Sixers will then host San Antonio on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Special access to Sixers training camp will be available right here on Sixers.com. Morning and evening training camp updates and behind-the-scenes photos will be available here so that fans can get an exclusive look from State College as the Sixers prepare for the 2002-03 season. In addition, Sixers.com will carry an exclusive half hour audio show, hosted by Sixers radio voice Tom McGinnis and TV play-by-play man Marc Zumoff, with player and staff interviews from Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Friday, Oct. 4 at 12 noon. On Monday, Oct. 7, fans will have access to a training camp video on Sixers.com.
