76ers - 98 Warriors- 100 - November 24, 2007 - Wachovia Center

Philadelphia 76ers Head Coach Maurice Cheeks
On tonights game..
"Down the stretch of games you’ve obviously gotta do a lot of things. You gotta get those critical shots and Baron (Davis) made a couple. (Kelenna) Azubuike makes the shot in the corner. We kinda figured that they would put the ball in Baron’s hands and play a little one-on-one. We’ve been teaching them for a while to try to step in and help the driver and instead they made a jump shot, they made a good shot, fortunately for them and unfortunately for us. Overall, for a team like Golden State to come in, who likes to get up and down the floor, push the ball, and score a lot of baskets, I thought we did a nice job. The third quarter was slow, and they got three, four, five quick lay-ups and kinda turned the game around. That’s the type of team they are; they play an up-tempo game and try to get a lot of lay-ups."

On tonight's rebounding...
"It was a lot of long rebounds. They shot a lot of jump shots and when you shoot a lot of jump shots, you’re gonna get a lot of long rebounds. I think they beat us to a lot of long rebounds in the latter part of the game. You take it into overtime, they got a lot of long rebounds in the game. They’re a jump-shot team and when you shoot a lot of jump shots you’re gonna get a lot of long rebounds."

On the team's energy...
"I thought our energy was fine. This was an overtime game, we played last night, they played last night, and I thought our energy was fine. Again, they made shots down the stretch of the game and they made the last shot to win the game and we didn’t. I thought that was obviously the difference. They got a lot of offensive rebounds, long rebounds, and when you shoot a lot of jump shots, you’re gonna get a lot of long rebounds."

Philadelphia 76ers Forward Andre Iguodala
On the team's morale...
"We just gotta get a win, we have got to do more than just compete. We’ve got to play it to win. We started out strong trying to take care of business. It was a good first half. We had some small mistakes and they got back in the game and then after that it was a dog fight."

On the second half...
"They made some big shots in the third quarter. Seems like they had a good half time speech. They scored on us. We lost a close game that we thought we had, and they did a good job of getting back in. It was back and forth... and they got the last shot. We’re gonna continue to play hard. It’s still early in the year. We just have to put it together."

Philadelphia 76ers Guard Lou Williams
On tonight's game...
"It’s tough any time that you lose. It’s even worse when you have an opportunity (to win). Over time we had a couple of chances, anytime you lose a game that comes so close to the wire it’s frustrating."

Philadelphia 76ers Center Samuel Dalembert
On tonight's game...
We knew they were gonna come out in the second half and give it to us. We need to learn how to come out in the second half and win. We had this game in the beginning and we were up so much. We started making little mistakes. We need to do a better job of shooting free throws, we missed about 13. This is the type of game where it comes down to the errors and we need to get them down. They just …took it from us.

Golden State Warriors Head Coach Don Nelson
On tonight's game...
"We laid an egg in the first half and had to dig ourselves out of it. In the second half we did just that, and had to come up with some energy. We didn’t have much left in the tank down the stretch, but we made a couple of big shots. Some how we hung in there and found something left. "

On the play of Monta Ellis...
"He put us on his shoulders. He was the only guy who had any energy. He probably played more minutes than anybody in the last couple of games. But he’s younger and found a way to spark us some life."

On the early season success...
"We had the bad start. But we came back and gave the team some life. We’re still not hitting on all cylinders. We need to have a couple more guys step up, to keep things going, especially after a good road trip."

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Jackson
On tonights game:
"We made the game a lot harder than it needed it to be. Fortunately we found a way, and that’s what you have to do in this league, especially on the road."

On a successful road trip...
"We definitely needed to come out tonight playing hard, and leave with a win. Starting 1-6, we put ourselves in a big hole; we slowly are digging out of the hole, especially with this road trip. "

On the team's turnaround...
"Were playing harder, a little bit more together. Were a little bit more poised than before. We have more confidence, and last year playing on the road in the playoffs is helping us. "
