Sixers Waive Olden Polynice

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Oct. 28, 2002 - Philadelphia 76ers General Manager Billy King announced that the Sixers have waived center Olden Polynice. Polynice had been signed as a free agent on Oct. 14.

Polynice, 7-foot-0, 250 pounds, averaged 1.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.8 minutes per game in four preseason contests with the Sixers. During his 14-year NBA career, Polynice has played for five different teams (Seattle, L.A. Clippers, Detroit, Sacramento and Utah). He last played with Utah in 2000-01, averaging 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 81 contests. He has career averages of 7.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 23.6 minutes per game in 1,056 NBA contests.

The 76ers roster now stands at 15.
