Philadelphia 76ers forward Kyle Korver announced today that Robert Kropp of Norristown, Pa., is the winner of the Kyle Korver Foundation Logo Contest. Kropp receives a Family Plus Membership to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a Museum gift basket, an autographed Korver jersey, four tickets to a Sixers' home game, and an autographed mini ball.

Kropp's sleek design incorporates double Ks, with electric blue as the primary color. Korver, a visual communications major at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., will utilize elements of Kropp's design in the Foundation's official logo. He'll also incorporate elements from two honorable mention selections.

Nicki Stevenson of Downington, Pa., and Lisa Delayo of Clementine, N.J., caught Korver's attention with their designs and earned honorable mention awards. Stevenson's logo mimics a handprint in blue and gold; while Delayo's submission is an abstract creation of a hand and basketball.

"The logo contest was a lot of fun," said Korver, a native of Pella, Iowa. "It was amazing to see how many people responded, and how creative everyone was. I went back and forth and had a really tough time deciding which logo should be the winner. Robert's stood out to me because it was clean and striking. He did a great job and I'm excited to use elements of his design to represent the Foundation."

The logo contest, which was open to artists of all ages, was announced on Jan. 8th and ran through Feb. 16th. On the last day of the contest, over 100 entries were submitted, raising the grand total to 280 logos. Submissions were received from individuals ages five through 95, who were located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Papua New Guinea, and Bulgaria. Eighteen different states in the U.S. were represented.

Lisa Delayo also received an honorable mention for her logo design.
The mission of the Kyle Korver Foundation is to make a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged youth and their families. The Foundation is involved with bringing supplies to Africa, renovating a Philadelphia recreation center, raising awareness for the arts, and helping young people realize their artistic abilities and dreams.
