ShareRookies Enjoy First Taste of Philly
Sixers rookies Willie Green and Kyle Korver got a true taste of Philadelphia on September 16. Willie and Kyle sat down with Steve Bucci of KYW TV for a cheesesteak lunch at Jim's Steaks on South Street. While Kyle had tried the city's staple meal before, this was Willie's first Philly steak experience.
"It was great...especially after a hard workout," said Green.
Korver added that his cheesesteak was "awesome...it was great. I should have put more cheese on it, but it was still very good."
The rookies were acquired by the Sixers through draft night trades and will make their preseason debut October 7 at Miami.
