Lost amidst the 76ers six-game winning streak and
Andre Iguodala's career-high 26 points against the Raptors on Nov. 16 was another spectacular accomplishment:
Allen Iverson became the fourth active player and the 64th player in NBA history to score 17,000 points. Iverson reached the milestone with a free throw near the end of the first quarter in the 76ers 121-115 over the Raptors.

Humble and gracious after the game, Iverson gave credit to the many that have helped him to reach the milestone. "17,000 points. Obviously I couldn’t have done this without my teammates," he said. "They are the ones that set the screens for me and get me the ball and that is all the teammates I’ve had in 10 years. It’s kind of like a tribute to those guys and the coaches I’ve had that believed in me.”
Shaquille O’Neal, Gary Payton and Clifford Robinson are the only other active players with more points. Iverson is also fourth on the 76ers all time scoring list behind Hal Greer (21,586), Dolph Schayes (19,249) and Julius Erving 18,364). Also during the game, Iverson became the 59th player in NBA history, and the 24th active player, to record 800 three pointers.
Iverson scored 42 points overall in the game on 16-26 shooting from the field and 9-11 shooting from the free throw line. The game marked the 60th time that he had scored 40 points in a game.
