76ers To Hold Inaugural Teddy Bear Drive
Newest addition to “Drive for Kids” takes place at February 9 game vs. Clippers.Philadelphia, PA - February 6, 2008- The Philadelphia 76ers, in partnership with Comcast SportsNet, are getting set to tip-off the inaugural Teddy Bear Drive on Saturday, February 9 when the Sixers take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 7:30 p.m. The Sixers are asking fans to come out and donate a new teddy bear (tag included), which will be donated to pediatric units at area hospitals.
Donations will be accepted upon entry at the Wachovia Center. All those who donate will receive a coupon that grants them access to an exclusive post-game autograph session featuring Thaddeus Young and Reggie Evans.
Additionally, one lucky bear will be heading out on a “Teddy Bear Tour,” sporting a small Sixers jersey signed by the entire team. During the tour, members of the local media will also be asked to autograph the jersey, which will then be put up for auction on SIXERS.COM, with all proceeds benefitting Sixers Charities.
