They're used to being teammates, but Sixers forwards Andre Iguodala and Kyle Korver will go up against one another during the 2005 NBA All-Star Weekend in Denver. Iguodala and Korver have been selected to the Rookie and Sophomore teams, respectively, for the got milk? Rookie Challenge that is played as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities. The game will take place on Friday, Feb. 18 at 9pm ET and will be broadcast live on TNT.

Iguodala becomes the first 76ers player to be named to the Rookie team since Todd MacCulloch took part in the 2000 contest. The Sixers first-round pick (ninth overall) in the 2004 NBA Draft, Iguodala is averaging 8.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.6 in 37.9 minutes per game through the team's first 41 contests. He is the only 76ers player to have started all 41 games so far this season. He leads all league rookies in steals per game and is second in minutes per game, third in rebounds per game, and fifth in points per game.

Korver did not play as a member of the Rookie team last season, but did take part in the Three-Point Shootout, becoming the first rookie in the history of the event to do so. Through 41 games, Korver is averaging 11.5 points per game in 30.4 minutes per night. He is shooting 40 percent (114-286) from three-point range this season and is on pace to shatter the Sixers franchise record for three-pointers made in a season.

Iguodala and Korver were selected to the teams by balloting among the NBA's assistant coaches. The game will be played in two 20-minute halves, with each team allowed one full timeout and one 20-second timeout per half. Individual foul totals will be kept, but a player can not foul out. A team will be in the penalty situation after 10 team fouls or after the second foul in the final two minutes of each half. In the event of a tie game, there will be a two-minute overtime to determine the winner.
