Andre Iguodala’s Caps for Kids Drive Collects 1,049 Hats
Each hat donated for “Andre’s Caps for Kids Drive” will be given to pediatric oncology units at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, American Cancer Society’s Camp Can-Do and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia - New Jersey Section of Hematology and Oncology. As part of Andre Iguodala Night, the first 5,000 kids, 12 and under, received a replica No. 9 black Iguodala jersey. In the days prior to the game, Sixers alumnus Darryl Dawkins sat down with Igoudala and reviewed his best dunks of the season and named each one. This segment was seen in arena and on Sixers.com and portions aired during the game broadcast. Fans were able to see how they measure up to the NBA Rookie of the Year candidate as a life-size cut out of the 6-foot-6 guard showing his 80 ½ -inch wingspan was located on the 11th Street Mezzanine Level of the Wachovia Center. In addition, there was trivia and fun facts about Iguodala throughout the night. |
