A Promotional Item Sixers Fans Can “Bank” On

First 5,000 Fans 12 Years Old and Younger Will Receive an Andre Iguodala Coin Bank, Courtesy of Gatorade

Fans That Donate a New, Hardcover Children’s Book to Andre’s Book Drive Invited to Post-Game Autograph Session

Sixers fans have the opportunity to “cash” in with the latest promotional giveaway at the Sixers-Jazz game on March 16 as the first 5,000 fans 12 years old and younger will receive an Andre Iguodala Coin Bank, courtesy of Gatorade. In addition, Iguodala will host Andre’s Book Drive as well as a post-game autograph session for all fans that donate a new, hardcover children’s book.

Andre’s Book Drive continues the Sixers celebration of reading month as Iguodala and Comcast SportsNet’s Phil Andrews encourage all Sixers fans to donate a new, hardcover children’s book at the Sixers-Jazz game. All books will be donated to Philadelphia READS, an independent, non-profit affiliate of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition based in Center City, which helps to strengthen the literacy skills of Philadelphia’s youngest and neediest school children.

The first 5,000 fans that enter the Wachovia Center will receive an Andre Iguo-DOLLAR, which can be redeemed for an Iguodala Coin Bank. The eight-inch coin bank shows Iguodala sporting a home, white Sixers uniform and was produced by Alexander Global Promotions, located in Bellevue, Wa.

Keeping with the theme of the night, the 76ers will honor Chrissy Wright of Collegeville, Pa., as the “76ers Hometown Hero: In the Spirit of Alex Scott.” A junior at Perkiomen Valley High School, Wright initiated a book drive in the school district and local book stores and will donate nearly 200 books to Andre’s Book Drive. Wright will be presented the 76ers Hometown Hero award at the first timeout of the first quarter at center court.
