Herbert Hill Undergoes Successful Surgery

Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced that rookie forward Herbert Hill has undergone successful surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee. According to doctors, the timeline for Hill's return is approximately 4-6 weeks.

Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure in Birmingham, Alabama. Team Physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy assisted in the surgery, which took place today.

A product of Providence College, Hill was originally drafted by the Utah Jazz with the 55th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft, before being dealt to the Sixers in a draft night trade for Kyrylo Fesenko and future draft considerations.

Hill appeared in five preseason games, averaging 2.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.8 blocks.
