Samuel Dalembert Suffers Left Wrist Injury
Philadelphia, Pa. - July 22, 2002 - Philadelphia 76ers center Samuel Dalembert suffered a severe left wrist sprain during a Shaw’s Pro Summer League game on Saturday, July 20, in Boston, Mass. Dalembert, who is expected to resume basketball activities in two weeks, was placed in a cast today by Sixers Team Physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy. Dalembert, 6-foot-11 and 250 pounds, averaged 7.3 points and a team-leading 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in the six Summer League games. He was injured during a fall late in the third quarter of the Sixers, 86-77, Summer League loss to Boston. In 2001-02, the Rookie center saw action in 34 contests, averaging 1.5 points and 2.0 rebounds.
