PHILADELPHIA, PA -April 15, 2002 - Sixers General Manager Billy King announced Mon., April 15, 2002 that the 76ers have placed forward Derrick Coleman on the injured list with a left knee hyperextension and activated center Jabari Smith.

Coleman, who did not travel to Orlando on Sun., April 14, has missed two of the last three games with the left knee hyperextension and seven of the last 21. He is second on the team with 15.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Coleman has played in 58 contests this season.

Smith has played in nine games with the 76ers after being signed on Dec. 30, 2001. Smith, who was waived on Dec. 18, 2001 after 12 games with the Sacramento Kings, has averaged 3.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.7 minutes this season for Philadelphia. He was placed on the injured list on March 1 with a left ankle sprain.
