76ERS AND COMCAST SPORTSNET PRESENT 2008 SIXERS COAT DRIVE

Drive to take place January 11 in conjunction with Sixers game against Chicago; all coats donated to Operation Warm

Philadelphia, PA - January 08, 2008 The Philadelphia 76ers community initiative "Drive For Kids" shifts gears on Friday, January 11 to the fifth annual Sixers Coat Drive, held in partnership with Comcast SportsNet. All fans attending the game against the Chicago Bulls are encouraged to bring a new children’s coat, with the tag attached, to the Wachovia Center. All coats collected at the gate prior to the game will be donated to Operation Warm, an organization that provides new winter coats to children in need.

All fans who make a donation will receive a coupon to attend an exclusive post-game autograph session with Sixers guard Lou Williams!

With help from the City of Brotherly Love and Sixers fans, the Sixers have donated 3,477 coats to Operation Warm over the past four years and that number includes the 600 collected during last year's drive. The 2007-08 season marks the fifth consecutive season that the Philadelphia 76ers and Comcast SportsNet have teamed up for "Drive for Kids," a season-long initiative that includes a turkey drive, toy drive, coat drive, teddy bear drive and book drive to benefit children throughout the area. Last season’s successful campaign gave thousands of Sixers fans the opportunity to meet players while supporting numerous charitable organizations in the area.
