76ERS NEIGHBORHOOD BASKETBALL LEAGUE SET TO TIP-OFF 14TH SEASON


Andre Miller and Shavlik Randolph Among Those Scheduled to Attend the Tip-Off Event

Philadelphia, Pa. – January 25, 2008- On Monday, January 28, 2008, Philadelphia 76ers guard Andre Miller and forward Shavlik Randolph will serve as honorary commissioners as they help tip-off the 14th season of the Sixers Neighborhood Basketball league (SNBL) from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Gustine Lake Recreation Center (4863 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia.) The Sixers Neighborhood Basketball League offers more than 5,000 girls and boys the opportunity to participate on basketball teams throughout 37 recreation centers throughout Philadelphia.

Joining Miller and Randolph for the tip-off event serving as a basketball clinic will be Director of Player Development/ Ambassador of 76ers Basketball World B. Free, radio analyst Todd MacCulloch, as well as members of the Sixers Dancers. Participants will run through a series of drills including dribbling, shooting, and passing techniques followed by remarks of important basketball tips and advice.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt and Sixers giveaways.
