The Schedule: New-Look Cavs Come To Town

by Max Rappaport Writer

Four years ago, the balance of the NBA was shifted when LeBron James decided to leave his hometown on the southern shore of Lake Erie for South Beach in Miami. Four finals appearances and two championships later, the four-time MVP has returned to Cleveland and will look to deliver the city its first championship in any professional sport since 1964.

The Sixers’ first meeting with the Cavs will come on Monday, January 5 in Philadelphia’s first home game of the New Year. After that game, the teams will face off twice more in 2014-15, both times in Cleveland – Friday, February 2 and in a 1pm matinee on Sunday, March 29.

During James’ first tenure with the Cavaliers, the Sixers were 9-16 against Cleveland; in the four seasons since, Philadelphia is 9-6.
