LAS VEGAS –– Despite late-game heroics by the Sixers to force overtime, the team fell to the NBA D-League Select Team 91-87 in their summer league finale on Friday.

Philadelphia was without Nerlens Noel, K.J. McDaniels, and Jordan McRae (all rest) as well as Casper Ware and Brandon Davies (coach’s decision). In their absence, Adonis Thomas led the Sixers with 22 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Jamelle Hagins finished with 10 points (5/9 FG) and 13 rebounds, Drew Gordon contributed 14 points (5/7 FG), and Sean Kilpatrick scored 15 points (6/14 FG) in the loss.

The D-League Select Team was led by Devin Ebanks (23 points and nine rebounds) and Kevin Jones (21 points and 15 rebounds).
