Sixers to participate in Orlando, Vegas Summer Leagues

Tuesday, the NBA announced the list of 24 teams that will compete in July’s Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. For the first time since 2008, the Sixers will return to the desert to compete in the tournament-style exhibition.

The event runs from July 11 through the July 21 at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and is open to the public. Tickets go on sale July 1 at

The Sixers are unique in that they will be one of three teams (along with Houston and Miami) that will compete in both the Samsung Summer League in Las Vegas and the Southwest Airlines Pro Summer League in Orlando, Florida. The latter runs from July 5-11 and is not open to the public. However, both leagues will televise select games on NBA TV. 

Summer League rosters will be announced at a later date.
