Sixers to Wear Blue Uniforms for All 10 'True Blue' Saturday Games, Starting Tonight Against the Chicago Bulls






PHILADELPHIA, PA. – NOVEMBER 2, 2013 – The Philadelphia 76ers today announced that the team will wear their blue uniforms for all 10 “TRUE BLUE” Saturday home games in 2013-14, starting tonight, Saturday, November 2, when they host the Chicago Bulls at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m.

“Dr. J, Wilt Chamberlain and Allen Iverson are just a few of the Sixers greats who have worn blue jerseys during their Philadelphia playing career,” said Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil. “We hope to bring back that sense of tradition and pride this season, and want our fans to join the team in wearing blue for these special Saturday 

Blue jerseys have woven their way in and out of the Sixers’ rotation throughout the course of team history, with their current blue jersey being introduced for the 2012-13 season. Prior to last year, the team had not introduced a new blue jersey since 1999-00, which was trimmed in red and black, and featured the “SIXERS” wordmark across the front with white numbers trimmed in red. In total, the team has had six regularly-worn blue jerseys, including the team’s original uniform first worn in 1963.
