Sixers Awarded 11th-overall Pick in 2013 Draft

NEW YORK – Only once in the history of the NBA Draft Lottery has a team with odds outside the top-10 been awarded the first-overall pick – the Orlando Magic jumped from 11th to first in 1993. 20 years later, the 11th-seeded Sixers looked to replicate that unlikely feat.

Unfortunately, Philly's number was not called.

As a result, the Sixers officially hold the 11th-overall pick in the first round of June 27th's NBA Draft; the team also possesses two selections in the second round (#35 and #42 overall).

"We had a small probability of really happy or being slightly sad and I feel neither. I'm right where I expected to be," said Sixers Managing Owner Josh Harris of his team neither rising nor falling in the draft lottery.

Should the Sixers decide to keep the pick, it would be just the third time in 15 drafts (dating back to 1998) that the team has selected 11th or higher. In 2004, Philly selected All-Star swingman Andre Iguodala with the ninth-overall pick and in 2010, the team drafted point-forward Evan Turner with the second-overall pick.

Here are the complete lottery results (odds):

1. Cleveland Cavaliers (3rd)

2. Orlando Magic (1st)

3. Washington Wizards (8th)

4. Charlotte Bobcats (2nd)

5. Phoenix Suns (4th)

6. New Orleans Pelicans (5th)

7. Sacramento Kings (6th)

8. Detroit Pistons (7th)

9. Minnesota Timberwolves (9th)

10. Portland Trailblazers (10th)

11. Philadelphia 76ers (11th)

12. Toronto Raptors (12th)

13. Dallas Mavericks (13th)

14. Utah Jazz (14th)
